The security blanket is made of polaroids taken of different ways that light moves around in my home. I took these photos after breaking my foot and being unable to move. My goal was to capture the feeling of safety that I feel in my home. I decided to crochet these polaroids together into a blanket, using a handicraft technique that has been passed on through generations in my family. The process of making this was meditative and affirmed the feeling of safety.
